As the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement approaches, we cordially invite you to join us for a thought-provoking and inspiring series of events commemorating this pivotal moment in Chinese history.

The May Fourth Movement, ignited by students in Beijing in 1919, was a significant turning point in China's political, social, and cultural landscape. It sparked a wave of nationalism, progressive ideas, and a rejection of traditional values, paving the way for the eventual rise of the Chinese Communist Party and the establishment of the People's Republic of China.

To honor this historic event, we have curated a program that will explore the themes, legacy, and relevance of the May Fourth Movement in today's world. Our activities include:
Keynote Address by Dr. Li Zheng, Professor of History at Peking University, on "The Enduring Impact of the May Fourth Movement."
Student Symposium presenting original research and perspectives on the movement.
Film Screening and Discussion of "The Goddess," a classic film by Wu Yonggang that captures the spirit of the era.
Performance by the University Symphony Orchestra featuring compositions inspired by the May Fourth Movement.
Exhibition of Historical Artifacts from the May Fourth era.
