Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for all academic matters at the university
Work with the Provost to develop and implement the university's academic strategic plan
Oversee the development and implementation of new academic programs
Review and approve all course proposals
Appoint and evaluate faculty
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure academic quality
Oversee the university's assessment program
Represent the university at academic conferences and events
Work with other senior leaders to develop and implement the university's budget
Serve as a member of the university's senior leadership team
Qualifications
Earned doctorate in a relevant field
Significant experience in higher education administration
Strong understanding of the principles and practices of academic quality assurance and assessment
Effective communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders
